If you've tried to download the animated gifs or some of the other content from our Tool Information Page, you might have found it difficult to access. There are ways around the precautions I took, but that would be dishonest - and illegal. I'll let you use the gifs and some of the other content, but there's got to be something in it for me.

If you wish to use the animated gifs and certain other content from the West Groton Tool Company website, please do the following:

First, review the copyright information on our legal page.

Next, E-Mail me to let me know what it is you would like to use, and the URL where you will put it.

Put a link to this site (www.wgtoolco.com) on your site. When I see the link, I'll send you the gifs or other content by e-mail. We'd greatly appreciate a short description of our site if that's the way that you've set up your links.  If your site is related to antique tools or woodworking, we might reciprocate by putting a link to your site on ours.

Include the following copyright statement on any page where West Groton Tool Company content appears:

It doesn't have to be bold face in a big font. You can use a small font size and put it at the bottom of the page. It just has to be there. If you are using content other than the animated gifs, you should replace "Animated Graphics" with a description of whatever it is that you are using.

This way, we protect our intellectual property and you get some cool graphics. Please note that some of the gifs are optimized for a white background. You can try them on other backgrounds and see how they come out. If you can't live with the way they look, feel free to get back to us; we might be able to work something out.
